Interesting Facts about Carob:
The word “carat” originates from Greek word “keration” which means “small horn”. It refers to the carob seeds that were used as a unit of weight for measuring the purity of gold and gems in ancient days.
Being a rich source of dietary fiber, carob can help with digestion and in some countries the powder is actually a common prescription as a treatment against acute onset diarrhea.
Carob Or Chocolate:
In comparison to regular chocolate, carob has considerably less sugar, only a fraction of the fat content, and 1/3 the calories. It can help prevent spikes in blood sugar and be a safer dietary choice for diabetics.
