Oregano Blend (100g)

A delicious blend of dried oregano and olive leaves.  In Shakespearean times, oregano was said to encourage good luck and good health. The early Greeks and Romans crowned married couples with it , whilst in ancient Egypt it was used as both a preservative and an antidote to poison. Olive leaf on the other hand has been used medicinally for centuries owing to its immune strengthening properties. Olive leaf also adds a delicious flavour to pot roasts, casseroles and pasta sauces.

Oregano has a delicious fruity and pungent flavour, and is great to use in salads, casseroles, soups, sauces and poultry dishes. And, of course, pizzas! This blend of oregano and olive leaf goes especially well in rubs to flavour meats or fish, and or in vegetarian dishes such as roasted vegetables, stuffed tomatoes and rice dishes.
