Fine Pink Himalayan Salt

Himalayan salt is an unrefined raw salt mined by hand from salt caves that formed 250 million years ago as ocean salt settled into geologic pockets. It is known for its gorgeous pink colour and flavour. Himalayan salt is said to contain trace quantities of up to 84 minerals however it should not be used to replace these minerals in the diet.

Interesting Facts about Himalayan Salt:

One of our oldest salt mines known as the Khewra or Mayo Salt mine is located in Pakistan and said to have been discovered in 320BC by troops of Alexander the Great. Official mining of this salt cave began in 1872 under British rule, however it is said that humans traded salt from this mine much earlier.
