Bicarb Soda (Aluminium Free)

Bicarb soda (otherwise referred to as Bicarbonate of Soda) is a highly versatile product that can be used for cooking or cleaning. It is known for its neutralising and deodorising properties as well as being a great mouthwash. Bicarb soda is purely made up of Sodium Bicarbonate.

Bicarb in Cooking:

Bicarb is a pure leavening agent. This means it needs to be mixed with moisture and an acidic ingredient for the necessary chemical reaction to take place to make food rise. Because bicarb needs an acid to create the rising quality, it is often used in recipes where there is already an acidic ingredient present, such as chocolate, honey, maple syrup, lemon or lime juice.

Bicarb for Cleaning:

Bicarb is a proven household cleaner and deodoriser. As a cleaning agent it is pretty much recommended for everything from cleaning sinks and drains to removing smells from carpet. It is even recommended to replace half of your washing powder with bicarb to keep your clothes fresh and clean.
